PPI claims rise as the deadline approaches

According to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), there was a 40 % increase in PPI claims in the second half of 2017. This resulted in the banks paying out £415.8 million in redress to consumers in January 2018, which is the highest amount paid since March 2016.

The FCA continues to urge people to check if they have PPI and complain before the official 29 August 2019 deadline. So, if you still don’t know if PPI was mis-sold to you, now is definitely the time to check.
